Gorgeous View, possibly the best in the city. Fantastic location for a celebration. We simply lightened the dark walls with light drape, lighting, and pin spots. Special thanks to Caroline Kelsey Designs,Cosmopolitan Events, and Tiffany the really very nice catering manager at the venue!
This was a fairytale like wedding we designed this past weekend. Everything from the pin spotted centerpieces, elevated head table, VIP lounge in the stage wings, fabric swags from the balcony to the stage, and the lighting design from the floor up was specifically made to bring together a unique and beautiful venue.
We placed the head table on the back of the stage and elevated it on a hand painted riser to match a painted and swaged backdrop. The lighting design brought in different shades of pink tones mixed with projected images. The fabric overhead created a gauzy look while still leaving the beautiful dome ceiling open to view the lighting design as it played off the detail of the architecture.
It was wonderful to design inside an actual theater as it was the perfect controlled environment much like what our design staff trained in throughout their education and career.
This weekend was the second time we have worked at The Columns in St. Charles. What a nice venue! The bride and groom took the theme of the New York City Skyline for their reception. The cake was decorated with the skyline and we brought that in with the lighting design as well. We projected the New York City skyline on the floor to ceiling drape in four corners of the room. Combined with purple lighting, and pinspots the room was simply glamorous. Thank you to Renee Joshu of St. Louis Weddings and Events for introducing us to her client.
As event season start to begin again we started with a Safari Themed Party at the Saint Louis Zoo. The room changed from daylight on the Savannah to the an Evening under the stars all within a slow 4 hour color change.
