Exclusive Events, Inc. is an Event Design and Production Company that fabricates sets and furniture 
pieces for all social and corporate events. Exclusive Events, Inc. employs technicians familiar with theater 
lighting, carpenters, scenic artists, craft and fabric artisans, and event designers on a full-time basis. Exclusive Events, Inc.'s fabrication shop and warehouse are located in the suburbs of St. Louis, 
MO. Traveling nationwide for the installation and removal of our designed events is occasionally 
expected.

Event Design Assistant

Event Design Assistant: The individual will be responsible for working with and for Senior Designers to design and execute events from simple set-ups and equipment rentals to elaborate weddings and high-end corporate events. This is an entry-level position where the individual will first be trained as an assistant to the Senior Designers. When appropriate, the training will shift to independence in all aspects of event design. This includes décor and lighting, creating and designing an event, and developing a proposal. They will oversee implementation of the event from start to finish, which includes communicating event requirements with internal team members to being hands-on at an event location. Candidate Requirements: -Creative in nature (either with photography, painting, scrapbooking, or crafting) -Be willing to take direction and listen carefully -Organizational skills -Self-starter with a proactive approach -Ability to work with little instruction or guidance -Team player with a positive attitude -Friendly and outgoing personality -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment -Adaptable to change -Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities -Physically able to lift, pull, push items up to 50 lbs. -Available to work evenings and weekends (not all) -Computer skills (Microsoft Office, general email) -Available for occasional travel -Comfortable with driving or learning to drive a box truck (16’ or 26’) Not required, but a plus: -Sales experience -Design experience -Knowledge of technical theater -AutoCAD knowledge -Class E driver license General Job Responsibilities: Assist the Senior Event Designers with: -Event design and pricing -Create client proposals -Communicate with clients via phone calls, texts or in-person meetings -Collaborate with internal team members regarding required items/custom build items -Oversee event design from start to finish -Travel to venues for site surveys, visits or client meetings -Assist in on-site event set-up and take-down -Assist operations team in preparing/pulling/loading items for events -Participate in weekly team meetings -Responsible for sending daily team reports via email -Additional duties as assigned Hiring Requirements: -U.S. citizen or valid work authorization -Valid driver license -Full criminal background investigation performed -Clean drug test results -Must sign a non-compete agreement -Must sign a photography release Benefits: -Health insurance -Dental insurance -PTO -401k Pay: -Hourly position with overtime pay after 40 hours -Pay starts at 21.00 per hour

Carpenter Apprentice/Scenic Carpenter

Scenic Carpenter: The individual will work within our scenic carpentry shop that is responsible for building set pieces and furniture for social and corporate events. While the scenic carpenter’s day is typically spent at the shop, they will also travel to event locations to assist in the assembly of builds or with the general setup of events. The scenic carpenter should possess knowledge and effective use of basic power tools. They must also be able to work safely in a shop environment. Whether you are a seasoned carpenter or a new graduate with an understanding of carpentry basics, we welcome you to apply. Candidate Requirements: - Ability to use power tools - Ability to interpret drawings - General math skills - Ability to troubleshoot and offer solutions - Team player with a positive attitude - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Adaptable to change - Available to work evenings and weekends (not all) - Available for occasional travel - Comfortable with driving or learning to drive a box truck (16’ or 26’) - Comfortable with learning to drive a forklift and scissor lift - Physically able to lift, pull, push items up to 100 lbs. Not required, but a plus: - Knowledge of or ability to run CNC equipment - Forklift - Scissor lift - Class E driver license - Electrical knowledge - Knowledge of technical theater General Job Responsibilities: - Build scenery pieces according to AutoCAD drawings using hand and power tools - Ensure pieces transfer from the shop in a proper manner (sanded and fully prepped) - Collaborate with internal team members regarding assembly and status of builds - Communicate with Shop Manager regarding any needed supplies or restock of supplies - Assist in on-site event set-up and take-down - Assist in repair of set pieces, bars, furniture, etc. - Assist in receiving incoming deliveries of wood and supplies - Assist operations team in preparing/pulling/loading items for events when needed - Monitor repairs needed of tools, saws, and equipment - Organize and keep the shop clean at all times - Additional duties as assigned Hiring Requirements: - U.S. citizen or valid work authorization - Valid driver's license - Full criminal background investigation performed - Clean drug test results - Must sign a non-compete agreement - Must sign a photography release Benefits: - Health insurance - Dental insurance - PTO - 401k Pay: - Hourly position with overtime pay after 40 hours - Pay starts at 22.00 per hour

Operations Assistant 

Operations Assistant: The individual will work within our operations department that is responsible for maintaining a technical warehouse of items such as furniture, staging, props, walls and set pieces. The Operations Assistant will actively work in the warehouse as well as on event location. No day is ever the same. This is a fast-paced, labor-intensive position where the ideal candidate must be willing to work hard and be adaptable to change. This is an entry-level position where no prior work history is required. If you are a new graduate or have a desire for a new career path, we welcome you to apply. Fabrics Assistant 

Fabrics Assistant: Duties and skills for Fabrics Assistant: - Create drape (panels, custom fabric props such as awnings, pillows, etc) in accordance with design. Including: measuring, cutting, and sewing fabric. - Maintain drape: laundering, ironing, folding, etc. - Maintain the quality and cleanliness of fabric inventory - Maintain an accurate record of fabric inventory - Communicate with other departments to ensure all events are accurate and on time with the event schedule - Communicate with others in your assigned department to work actively as a team. - Maintain a clean and organized shop area - Create and collaborate on soft goods constructions, whether on fabric, props, or specialty items. - Help set up and take down events as assigned- Please see sample event installation schedules. Skills - Proficient in machine sewing: domestic, industrial, serger, and hand sewing techniques. - Ability to manage multiple overlapping projects - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to ever-changing and evolving events - Knowledge of construction techniques and use of materials, linings, and interfacings in the creation of fabric props and pieces. Musts: - Excellent interpersonal skills with many different personality types - Attention to detail - Positive Attitude - Other duties as assigned **This position collaborates and works hand in hand with the Fabrics Manager. Set up and removal of events is required on event location, therefore basic knowledge of Theater Tech is helpful but not required. Requirements: - Applicant must hold a valid driver’s license. - Applicant must undergo a criminal background and drug test before employment. - * comfortableness driving a box truck or a willingness to learn. Schedule: There is no typical day, as each day can bring a new event and a new approach. However, there are consistent requirements during the week. Tuesday through Friday will be working in the Fabric Shop. Saturday involves loading in all rental items (bars, furniture, stages, drapes, etc.) and installing a curated design. The venue can be a hotel ballroom, a banquet hall, an outdoor tent, or many other on-site event locations. If all goes well, the event load-in is completed by 3 pm, and there is a break for the day. A return would be between 10:30 pm and midnight to unload and strike the event into the trucks. Every effort is taken to remove events the next day. Two days a week off is the norm. The year will present our high season and low season. The low season is January to April, where hours are generally Tuesday through Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. The high season is May through December, where hours are usually Tuesday through Saturday from 8 am to 5-6 pm, and intense flexibility is needed for events that will happen mid-week or Sunday during this busy time of year. Ideal Candidate: We are merely looking for a teachable, motivated, hardworking, self-sufficient, team player, and a pleasant individual to join our team. If you have technical theater skills, that would be a plus, but not a deal-breaker. No college degree is required. Reliable, consistent transportation is required. Hours will vary, therefore, personal transportation is mandatory. Benefits: Pay begins at 21.00 with periodic pay increases based on merit. Time and a half for all hours over 40 in a week is paid. Room to advance. Paid time off (PTO). Health and dental insurance is offered upon the start date. Frequent company meals are provided. After one year of employment, a 401K retirement plan is available. *The ideal applicant will be willing to grow with the position, have a flexible schedule, be adaptable to change, available to travel, and have a positive, upbeat attitude. A great deal of time has been made to cultivate a positive and pleasant working team environment. If an applicant has a negative outlook, does not desire to be a team player, cannot adapt to a change in plan, or generally is unmotivated, this position is not the right fit.
